Woo, yay- in 4 weeks we're going to be on our way to Japan :D

I'm soooooo so excited- we're in Tokyo for 10 nights, and plan to buy lots of cool stuff, and eat lots of tasty things...

having something to look forward to is making work seem less shitty too, and I do have a few fairly major projects to focus on there too, so hopefully that'll keep my mind off the clock-watching..
i've also got a few contacts to try and get in touch with about other work later on in the year when I have to take 2 months off from working with the BBC, so fingers crossed for that..:D

Would anybody here trust buying gig ticket on ebay? Because I wouldn't usually, but I'm desperate to get hold of some tickets for PJ Harvey at the Town Hall- I am rubbish as I only recently found out about it, and obviously it's been sold out for months now...

So, yes or no? :D

Agh! I'm sooo itchy right now- I finally had my hospital appointment for allergy patch testing to find out what's up with my dodgy eye, and I've now got over 100 mini aluminium pods stuck to my back, each containing a different allergen, to try and test what my skin reacts to..

I go back tomorrow when they take the metal bits off, but leave all the tape stuck down...then back yet again on Friday for them to have another peer at me...wah, I'm soo itchy!

I went to my dermatologist appointment at the hospital the other day- I keep having strange allergic reactions where my left eye gets really swollen and rashy all around- and I had to wait for a goddamned hour in the waiting room as they'd blody lost my referral letter...blah!

Then I went in to see the consultant, and he didn't even touch me or look properly at my skin, he just said he'd write to the allergy specialist at another hospital, and they'd do some patch tests on me there to see if they could work out what's going on...

I think I'm allergic to alcohol though, that's the only thing I think can be triggering it off- agh! :/

Oooh! A Sweeney Todd picture!

Hmm, nice picture...I think this film will *look* good, but I'm not sure how it'll be as a film, like all of Tim Burton's recent thingies...:D

Extras needed for B'ham film (X-posted to midlands_goth)
muahaha
[info]staticgirl
Ok, this is a bit late notice, but I'll give it a go anyway...

Rotunda Films are looking for gothy/fetish-y/alternative types to be extras for a feature film, currently being filmed in Birmingham (NO emo tho').

We need people TOMORROW, Tuesday 22nd November (all day- 9.30am to 10pm) and Wednesday 23rd November (9.30 to approx. 4pm) at The Sanctuary nightclub- 78 Digbeth High Street, Birmingham.

"Dress to kill, wear alternative clothes, think dark colours, think sexy outfits, think unusual clothes, be sophisticated but mysterious, unusual jewellery, unusual hair styles, dyed hair/piercings etc, dark & mysterious makeup- girls and boys. The more unusual you look, the more camera time you'll get!"

(Unfortunately we don't have the budget to be able to pay extras for their time, but we will feed/water you etc.)

To find out more about the film, go to www.lycanthropy-movie.com; to find out more about being an extra, call Becky Adams (Production Manager) on 07930 646 721, or just turn up at the Sanctuary tomorrow or Wednesday at 9.30!

Thanks!

ok, I think that stretch lace is the worst fabric ever to work with...it's crap to pin, impossible to cut, and I imagine that it's gonna be terrible to sew together too...

..if I ever have to design with it, I'm definitely gonna make sure somebody else is doing the making...heheh

Hope all you London people are okay, and that nobody was involved in explosions or anything.

Feeling kinda sick at the moment, trying to get in touch with a few people still...:/
